About Stephen Gardiner
Professional
My background is in agriculture. I was born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and learned to love the outdoors, the bush, and nature early. I studied for my BSc in Agric at a university in South Africa. I then moved to England and studied for my master’s degree at Reading University in 1980.
Upon completing my Master’s, I moved to Honiara, Solomon Islands, and worked as part of a United Kingdom Aid program providing expertise to developing countries. There, I developed my passion for teaching, mentoring, and leading people to achieve their highest potential.
Upon returning to Africa, I worked mentoring agronomist staff, teaching farmers how to maximize outputs from farms, reduce wastage, and plan for future events.
Fast-forward to 2000, when I was living in Australia. After two redundancies, I was looking for a complete career change, and I accidentally fell into coaching. In 2006, I completed my first Success Coaching Certification. This was followed by certification as a Trainer in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), a Diploma in Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, and several additional Certifications in Relationship, trauma, and Life coaching.
I started my business, Transformations Coaching, in 2007 and realized my passion for helping people grow and develop had moved from ‘food for the body’ to ‘food for the mind and soul’—the perfect career.
I was fortunate to meet Judith Richards in 2013 and have been involved with the development of TRTP – The Richards Trauma Process, and the training of practitioners since completing my training. I am currently the Senior Trainer for Judith Richards and The Richards Trauma Process – TRTP.
TRTP has become my therapy of choice for my clients when long-term anxiety, childhood trauma, stress, and PTSD are factors to be resolved to enable clients to return to balance.
